Pit Crew

Every great racing team needs a pit crew.  The Scott Bintz Racing pit crew is fairly colorful.  Each play an important part and racing wouldn’t be possible without their help and support.

Pit Crew:

Shannon

Shannon (My Bride):  Crew Chief

Does just about everything except drive the car.  From putting tearoffs on the helmet to changing tires.  Keeps the driver and crew in line.

Most efficient at tire grinding and website development

Shawn "O"

Shawn Herrick (AKA Shawn “O”):  Lead Tweeker

Keeps the busiest.  Tire prep, lug nuts, engine check, gas check, suspension adjustment.  Shawn never stops.

Mr. Details

Jerry Levene “Mr. Details”:  Director of Details

Is the by the book kind of guy.  Makes sure we don’t miss any of the little details.

Eagle Joe

Joe Halseth (AKA Eagle Joe):  Tire Pressure Monitor

Airs the tires and drinks the last of the coffee and energy drinks.  Also is in charge of air filter fixing, tire changing and gas filling.

Mattcho Man

Matt Lautt (AKA Mattcho):  Head Body Man

Make sure the car body is looking great and is the go to guy for in between the race emergencies.

Navigational Expert

Douglas Daniel:  Navigation Expert / Movie Maker

Helps get us to the track with the fastest route.  Also is our best question asker and answer explainer.  And does the video taping of the races, which helps fine tune the race car set up.

Brake Checker

Will Hagebock:  Brake Checker / Engine Starter

Makes sure we take plenty of breaks and is good at making sure Shawn doesn’t run out of things to do.  Also like to start the engine and makes sure Scott is buckled up.  Will once loaded the race car into the trailer at full throttle.  Not good on the tools and tire rack.  But makes for a funny story.

Tyler Halverson:  Pitman #1

Helps us all have a good time and keeps us smiling.  Tyler has built 2 box derby cars in Scott’s honor.

The Real Crew

Racing wouldnt be possible without great family support.  In addition to Shannon, all of our kids help in their own special ways.

Now in college, Katie is our oldest and most daring.   She would also win the most cool award as well.

Sweet 16 and loving it.  Katelyn is our smartest and also the most serious.   She is always willing to help.

Go Kart loving Meghan is thinking she is older than she is and is our most exciting.  She likes to push the rules.

Our boy, well lets just say with 4 sisters he has it made.

Definately wins the best smile award.  Those dimples are so adorable.  Sammie loves sports and is one tough girl.
