The 2009 Wissota 100 was so successful at the Dakota State Fair Speedway in 2009 the it will be there again in 2010.  Hot of the press from Wissota, the Wissota 100 with return to Huron’s Dakota State Fair Speedway in 2010.  The Wissota 100 dates will be September 15th to 18th, 2010.  The practice night for the drivers will be September 14th, 2010.  Wissota is encouraging drivers and fans to make their reservation right away.   For more information visit www.wissota100.com.  Camping reservations can be made in Jan of ‘10 by contacting the South Dakota State Fair Office at 1-800-529-0900.

On 9-15-09 we headed to the Wissota 100 at the Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, SD.  On Tuesday night we were able to get some practice laps in and Scott got the 3rd fastest lap times, which was pretty cool.

On Wednesday 9-16-09 over 80 Wissota Midwest Modifieds were in 8 heat races on the first day.  The format was you had to get top 3 in the heat to make the first round of the qualifying feature.  24 race cars would be in the first qualifying feature.  The top 12 in the qualifying feature would make up the first 4 rows of the 30 car, 3 wide start main event on Saturday night.    (more…)

9/6/09 Close to 40 Wissota Midwest Modified race cars showed up for the 2nd night of the Jamestown Speedways Double Header Labor Day Weekend Races.  Scott was in the 3rd heat and it was somewhat of a rough caution filled heat.  Scott made it to 4th from 7th to qualify for the feature in the 14th starting spot.  The feature was dry but racey.  Scott was moving up pretty good and got to about 5th when he hit the inside wall on corner 2 and spun.  Got sent tail end and Scott made it back to 11th.  Ryan Mikkelson won the feature followed by Josh Eberhardt and Landon Becker.
